Kids

"Basically people don't know how kids think, I guess they forget. But when you're a kid it's like you're wearing these binoculars strapped to your eyes and you can't see anything except what's in the dead center of the lenses because you're too scared of everything else or else you don't understand it and people expect you to, so you feel stupid all the time. Mostly a lot of stuff just doesn't get registered" Rule of the Bone, A Novel by Russell Banks.

Wow, I have spent over 6 weeks at home with my son this summer and this quote shot me in the heart. How fucking stupid am I. Of course. It's changing how I react right. . .Now. . .

HI there, I like in Crestview and have a 7 year old as well! Is your son in 2nd grade at Brentwood? We're new here and Owen doesn't have many friends his age yet, let me know if you every want to get together!

Hey Hilarie. Yeah, we go to Brentwood. There's a big group of moms that hang out at the park after school. It's just too hot right now. We will probably go to Northwest Pool this week. Call me at 914-2307 or email me at 17redtruckbetty@gmail.com. There are lots of great kids and moms around. Who is Owen's teacher this year.

Owen has Ms. Berry this year. He had Ms. Castillo at the very end of last year, but never really meshed with a friend in that class.

We stalk the park, since our yard backs up to it. I often run us over there if I see kids close to my kids in age. ha
